PORT ISAAC, CORNWALL 2006

There are not many of these guns left; They were installed in strategic places around the coast of Britain during WWII. The idea was that as a German boat entered the harbour you would try to blow it to smitherines and so block the harbour entrance making a landing that much more difficult for the invaders. (Arthur Hayward confirmed this - he was there!)

There are a few pictures here of Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen who lives in Port Isaac and has a shop there selling gifty type things.

Call that going for a swim?

View from cottage window ...... is that good or what?

The Eden Project nr St Austell - Bio domes in an old quarry.

The cottage we rented was the 3rd dormer from the left.

A seagull in Port Isaac (could be anywhere really I guess)

JBM and Arthur Hayward (Ex headmaster of Cavendish School) who lived nr Padstow (has now moved to Gloucester)
