![]() There are not many of these guns left; They were installed in strategic places around the coast of Britain during WWII. The idea was that as a German boat entered the harbour you would try to blow it to smitherines and so block the harbour entrance making a landing that much more difficult for the invaders. (Arthur Hayward confirmed this - he was there!) |
